We only accept plans and allow pick-up of plans Monday-Friday 07:30-08:30
All submitted must contain the following preferably on the cover sheet:
· Professional Engineer’s (P.E.) Stamp required under most conditions. The P.E. Stamps will be required on a per case basis by Homewood Fire Inspections.
· If you are relocating sprinkler heads, a drawing will be required. If the relocations of sprinkler heads are 20 or more, a P.E. stamp will be required.
· If you are relocating fire alarm devices, drawings shall be required on a per case basis as well as a P.E. Stamp by Homewood Fire Inspections.
· If you are adding sprinkler heads or fire alarm devices, the requirements of a P.E. Stamp will be determined on a per case bases depending on number of heads or fire alarm devices, gpm, and/or diameter of the sprinkler plumbing.
· Compass shall be required (except in the case of interior suites or rooms).
· Legend detailing the type of devices as it relates to fire alarm/sprinkler systems.
· The correct address and/or suite number(s) on the plans.
· All plans shall be signed in when dropping them off and signed out upon retrieval.
· Do not attempt to drop off plans to the administrative assistant. She will not sign your plans in nor will she retrieve reviewed plans. If plans are not properly signed in. They will not be reviewed.
Fire Alarm Plans must contain the following:
· International Fire Code (IFC) 2021
· NFPA 72, 2019 Edition
Sprinkler Systems must contain the following:
· International Fire Code (IFC) 2021
· NFPA 13, 13R or 13D; 2019 Edition depending on sprinkler system to be installed.
Fire Mains must contain:
· International Fire Code (IFC) 2021
· NFPA 24, 2019 Edition
· FDC has to be within 100’ of existing hydrant or occupant is to provide a private hydrant.
